Version History

Version 3  Latest

  • 🆕 Play Sel. Loop (Sample Editor) — next to Play Sel., loops the current click-and-drag selection continuously instead of playing it once.
  • 🆕 Get from Selection (Sample Editor, New Loop Points) — sets the loop start/end from the current selection with one click; turns Loop enabled on first if it wasn't already.
  • 🆕 Keep playing while changing parameters (Sample Editor) — with this on, adjusting Fade In/Out, X-Fade, loop points, trim, or the selection while a sample is playing updates it live instead of stopping playback. Only shown when Settings > Audio > "Click to play/stop, instead of press-and-hold" is on, since it needs that to work.
  • 🔧 Play w/o Sel. (Sample Editor) now plays at the same pitch as Play and Play Sel. — it previously ignored tuning/pitch adjustments and played back at the sample's raw pitch.
🆕 v3.1.1 — August 27, 2026
  • 🆕 Sample Editor now asks for confirmation before closing if you have unsaved changes, instead of discarding them silently.
  • ⚡ Space bar in Sample Editor now starts/stops playback the instant you press it, instead of waiting for you to release it.
  • 🔧 Fixed the new click-to-toggle Play/Stop mode not stopping a sample that was already playing when something else changed what should be playing:
    • Switching keys in Voice Viewer or Drums Viewer while a looping sample was playing.
    • Opening Sample Editor ("Process sample") while a sample was playing in Voice Viewer or Drums Viewer.
    • Clicking Detect Loop again in Sample Editor to cycle to the next candidate while Preview Loop was playing.
  • 🔧 Preview Loop (Sample Editor) now also supports click-to-toggle play/stop, matching every other Play button — it previously stayed press-and-hold regardless of the Settings > Audio option.
🆕 v3.1.0 — August 25, 2026
  • 🆕 Sample Editor — a new screen for working with a sample's audio, opened from the new "Process sample" button next to PLAY/LEFT/RIGHT in Voice Viewer and Drums Viewer. Starts with loop tools, built to grow into other sample-processing features over time.
    • Auto-detects a good loop from scratch, or refines an existing one, using waveform analysis with a confidence score.
    • Drag the loop start/end points right on the waveform, then press-and-hold Preview to hear the loop before committing to it.
    • Add a crossfade at the loop seam and/or a fade in/out on the sample itself — draggable and percentage-based; press-and-hold Preview to hear the loop/crossfade, or Play/Play L/Play R to hear the whole sample, fades included.
    • Each fade (Fade In, Fade Out, X-Fade) can use its own shape — Linear, Exponential, Logarithmic, or S-Curve — picked from a dropdown next to its slider; X-Fade also offers Equal Power, which keeps the loop's volume steady through the blend instead of dipping in the middle.
    • Zoom and pan the waveform for sample-accurate placement.
    • Save writes the changes into the sample file itself and updates the pack; Discard leaves everything untouched.
  • 🆕 Bulk Rename — rename many voices, drums, and other items in a pack at once, from the new "Bulk Rename" option in the pack menu (not available for encrypted/CPF packs).
    • Combine rename rules freely: replace the base name, find & replace, delete characters, change case, add a prefix/suffix, and sequential numbering — numbering can restart separately for each item type.
    • Filter by item type and pick exactly which items to include; see every old name → new name change live, before applying anything.
    • Catches empty, invalid, or duplicate names up front and won't let you apply until they're fixed.
  • 🆕 Settings > Audio — "Click to play/stop, instead of press-and-hold": turns every PLAY/LEFT/RIGHT-style button in Voice Viewer, Drums Viewer, and Sample Editor into a click-to-start, click-again-to-stop control, with Space also starting/stopping Sample Editor's PLAY. Off by default, so nothing changes unless you turn it on.
🆕 v3.0.9 — August 19, 2026
  • 🆕 New payment method — you can now pay by debit/credit card via Stripe, in addition to PayPal. This has also been forwarded to the base v3.0.0 installer, so new purchases get it right away.
🆕 v3.0.8 — August 13, 2026
  • 🆕 New "Fix Loop Points" tool (pack menu, or Voice/Drums Viewer) — scans a pack or your whole library for samples whose loop end point doesn't match their actual audio data, and repairs both the sample file and its pack info in one step.
  • ⚡ If no audio playback device is available on your system, the preview player now shows a clear status message instead of silently failing.
  • 🔧 Deleting an invalid pack permanently sometimes didn't actually remove it — it could still show up again as invalid.
  • 🔧 Fixed a crash when previewing certain samples with an inconsistent loop point — affected samples now play correctly and show a warning icon on the preview player.
  • 🔧 Pressing the Left/Right arrow keys while browsing packs or items no longer scrolls the list sideways.
  • 🔧 Fixed and improved the behavior of several UI controls in Voice/Drums Viewer and Dark theme.
  • 🔧 Dialog windows could still center on the wrong monitor in a multi-monitor setup, particularly when the main window sat right at the boundary between two displays.
🔧 v3.0.7 — July 23, 2026
  • 🆕 Drums Viewer now shows a Drum Setup panel with each drum sound's own parameters (pitch, level, pan, and more).
  • ⚡ Drum sample preview playback now reflects each drum's own pitch and volume settings, for a more accurate preview.
  • 🔧 Fixed some drum kit samples playing back at the wrong pitch in Drums Viewer.
  • 🔧 The available keybanks list didn't always follow the Dark/Light theme correctly when switching between keybanks.
  • 🔧 Clearing the item search box didn't always scroll the list back to the top.
  • 🔧 Export Samples could show a misleading "merging" message for drum kits even when the merge option wasn't enabled.
  • 🔧 Export Samples — fixed drum kit file naming: some Settings naming options could be silently missing from exported file names, and switching between Voice/Drum naming setup in Settings could mix up saved options.
  • 🔧 Fixed a WAV sample export issue affecting one-shot drum samples.
🆕 v3.0.6 — July 20, 2026
  • 🆕 Dark/Light theme — toggle it from the new button next to Settings on the main window. Applies instantly across the whole app, no restart needed, and your choice is remembered for next time.
  • 🆕 Search items in the selected pack — click the search icon above the item list, type a name to jump to the first match, F3 or Ctrl+G for the next match. Type \p followed by a number (e.g. \p5) to search by PC number instead.
  • 🆕 Export to Logic Pro (EXS) — choose "EXS" as the export format in Settings to generate an EXS24 sampler instrument alongside the exported WAV samples.
  • ⚡ Update notifications now distinguish how important an update is. A critical update (e.g. an important bug fix) shows a red badge plus a one-time startup dialog recommending you update right away; a regular update still shows a quiet blue badge with no interruption.
  • ⚡ About screen — Changelog is now the first tab, before License.
  • ⚡ SFZ export is no longer alpha — it's now a standard export format (choose "SFZ" or "SFZ Condensed" from the Export As list, replacing the old separate checkboxes), with improved tuning/panning/volume accuracy and proper drum kit support, including hi-hat-style choke groups.
  • ⚡ SF2 and SFZ exports now carry the actual sound of the voice, not just raw sample mappings — volume, filter/EQ, envelope, vibrato, effect sends, and mod wheel/aftertouch response are all included. EXS export remains sample-mapping only for now.
  • ⚡ Exporting checked content is now much more flexible — a new "Content operations" menu (available both for the whole library and per-pack) lets you select/unselect items by content type (styles, MIDI files, registration banks, etc.), not just export everything at once.
  • 🔧 Dialog windows (Voice Viewer, Drums Viewer, and others) now open properly centered — previously they could appear noticeably lower than centered, especially with the main window maximized.
🔧 v3.0.5 — July 3, 2026
  • 🔧 Important: fixed a bug that could incorrectly alter a pack's internal information file, making it grow to an abnormal size over time. Updating is strongly recommended.
  • 🔧 after adding an element from a voice in a different pack than the one you're editing, the newly added samples weren't recognized by the app until a manual refresh from the main screen.
⚡ v3.0.4 — July 3, 2026
  • ⚡ Faster and more reliable scanning of large voice/drum libraries
⚡ v3.0.3 — June 29, 2026
  • ⚡ SF2 export — multiple improvements to drum kit accuracy and compatibility
🔧 v3.0.2 — June 26, 2026
  • 🔧 Silence stripper — batch procedure was not stripping files in certain circumstances
  • ⚡ Silence stripper and tail trimmer — batch processing optimized
🆕 v3.0.1 — June 25, 2026
  • Lock voices/drums — from pack menu (all at once) or individually from Voice Viewer / Drums Viewer
  • Group items by type — automatically groups items in a pack by their type (voices, drums, styles, etc.)
